FOLK OFF A night of upbeat folk, bluegrass and acoustic music from the regions finest musicians, songwriters and artists. FERAL MOUTH New Grass Folk Stars playing Cello, Banjo, Guitar and Drums. All exceptional musicians who played with multiple bands this talented bunch of Chimps are one of my favourite bands in the world. Hows that for a statement! Yep, seriously. Song writing that is hauntingly poetic, luscious harmony's and exceedingly skilful musicianship. True artists. www.feralmouth.com KISS THE MISTRESS Our second Cello led band of the event fronted by the fantastic Ginny Davies this is one of my newest favourite bands (after seeing them at The Bicycle Ball). Featuring Cello, Accordion, Cahon & Bodran and some bloody incredible penny whistle. They blew me away at Folk East and its a real pleasure to welcome them back to SoapBox. www.kissthemistress.co.uk ELLY TREE Ukulele, bass and guest instruments come together to add layers to the wonderful song writing of Helen Woodbridge, a local favourite of mine who is seen regularly at Open Mic and gigs around the town. I know the words to almost all of here songs they are just so damn good! And top news... they will be playing her newest song here tonight! Cool! xx 99ECHOES The full flavoured band experience of the rather awesome Beeba aka Carl Best, a formidable song writer whose words and melodies I have rather fallen for. Gorgeous harmony's, finger style guitarmanship and hand drums fuse together to create a veritable feast of soul shaking music. www.facebook.com/99Echoes BESSIE TURNER Chuffed to be adding this Ipswich songbird to our line-up for the night. She has a stunning voice, delicate delivery and oodles charm to boot. A wonderfully tender song writer and best kept secret in Ipswich.
