SoapBox's first regular ALL AGES open mic on Saturday afternoon at the lovely cafe/bar No 16 Tacket Street, Ipswich, run by the wickedly funny Phil. We have always been passionate about supporting young musicians on their journey so we are particularly excited to have arranged this REGULAR MONTHLY event that welcome all ages to the stage AND the audience. 2.30pm Sign Up 3pm Start 3 songs or 10 mins per artist (If time permits we will open the floor again to play more songs) All Ages Welcome. Sign up on the day at 2.30pm, for a 3pm start. I am happy to take email bookings in advance, but please note, I humbly request everyone playing turns up at the beginning, and stays till the end, cos its just nice, that's the spirit of open mics and we want everyone to embrace this. S amy@getonthesoapbox.co.uk FREE cake for everyone who performs. Recipe to be announced once the SoapBox kitchen has done some research... Recommendations gratefully received. Each month SoapBox will be asking one young performer from the region to play as a 'featured guest' at the gig cos they have impressed us so much. For our debut we have the wonderful 14 year mandolin player and songwriter Tilly Dalglish, from Bury St Edmunds. I was absolutely blown away when I heard her music and lyrics, beautiful, enchanting and so sophisticated for her age. Tilly will be playing live at 3pm. www.facebook.com/Tillysmusic www.soundcloud.com/tilly-dalglish FREE ENTRY - FREE MUSIC - FREE CAKE - YES! Proudly brought to you by... www.getonthesoapbox.co.uk
