All over the country people will be celebrating National Poetry Day with all kinds of performances, readings, workshops and gigs. Here in Ipswich we are proud to have a thriving community of extraordinary writers, poets, rappers and wordsmiths, with close ties to poets from across the Eastern region. SoapBox has decided to put this event on to welcome them all to the same stage, for one night only, to share their love of words on National Poetry Day.
Its completely FREE ENTRY so do join us for this varied and fun night of poetry, in all its shapes and sizes and sounds. You can expect comedy, politics, rhythm and rhyme, rap, free verse, sonnets, surrealism and open mic spots too - sign up on the night only. Please note, there will be adult language, themes and content.
