To celebrate and support Pride, we always host a special poetry event every year. Usually its an open mic, but, this year we wanted to do something bigger. We are huge supporters of Pride, and particularly in light of accelerating demonisation of the queer community, we felt it was more important than ever to show our solidarity. We hope this event will both share in the challenges faced within the community, and celebrate the many successes and joyful acts of resistance. Of which this 'Word Herd Pride Special' is one.

We are utterly delighted to welcome back to SoapBox, the rather incredible Leo George, a local poet who has long been one of our favourites. Support comes from the glittery Jem Hartley, and newcomer Lu. 

FREE ENTRY - If you'd like to donate, we'll be requesting any donations towards Suffolk Pride, to support this amazing month-long series of events, run by volunteers (who I happen to know work tirelessly throughout the year to make this happen, without any pay).
