ANDY BENNETT Andy Bennett has been performing stand up comedy and poetry for half a decade, around Norwich and at Fringes and Festivals across the country. His wilfully shambolic style belies a cerebral and acerbic wit, and an honest and celebratory approach to life and performance. Andy writes poems that, two hundred years ago, would have got him rusticated. Andy also likes the word ‘rusticated’ a little more than a man should. ADAM WARNE 'Adam Warne is a poet of truly heart-warming and startling proportions. He raises the bar for ‘performance poetry’ up so high you’ll never need to see another performance' - Something Good ROWAN JAMES Known as the 'Indiana Jones of Poetry' this hip hop punk infused spoken word performer is the unofficial poet Laureate of Ipswich, come see why. Hosted by Amy Wragg, reading a selection of the best living contemporary Poets like Scroobius Pip, Kate Tempest, John Agard, Ko Un, Benjamin Zephaniah, Salena Godden and Leland Bardwell. Brought to you by www.getonthesoapbox.co.uk Music & Arts Events in the East of England 'Words & Verses' is taken from Scroobius Pip 'Let Em Come' so you can expect adult content and explicit language at this event. Used how only a Poet can, beautifully.
