Poetry, spoken word, workshops & more at this cool boutique festival in Suffolk

We are super excited to announce that we are taking a bunch of awesome poets to Mekonville Festival in Suffolk, later this month. We'll also be running writing workshops in partnership with the Writers & Speakers Collective (from the University of Suffolk), hosting a spoken word open mic, and making a collaborative poem on-site. Amy will be hosting all of the literature at the Festival, with her usual combination of covers (Poetry-oke) and her own fresh originals, you can expect the unexpected. This is a great new Festival for the region, affordable, quirky and high quality with a committment to the arts, its a new addition to our calendar that we are getting steadily more excited for.

Do check out their full programme online. We are particularly looking forward to seeing Bonnie Prince Billie, and the first full reformation of the original line-up of The Mekons in 40 years, which is what the Festival has been named after. Day tickets and weekend still on-sale. Full literature line-up available on-line >>> HERE <<<
