It is with great pleasure we announce the first group of artists to be booked on the SoapBox stage at Folk East. We may be the smallest stage onsite but we pack a big punch, just like the fantastic artists we have asked to come play with us.

We are also pleased to be holding ‘Words & Verses’ everyday at 7pm on the SoapBox stage. That’s a massive 1 ½ hours of spoken word, comedy, story telling and more, from some of our favourite wordsmiths. Expect literary linguistics, side-splitting giggles and words to feed your heart, soul and mind.

A new addition to the festival will be the ‘SoapBox Introducing’ hour held everyday at 4pm, bringing the brightest young folk & acoustic musicians to the Festival. Come see the future stars of folk!
