Join Amy Wragg from SoapBox Spoken Word CIC, for a Monday morning poetry group. Friendly and low-pressure, each session will be led by the people who attend. Maybe one week we'll share favourite poems from our childhood, maybe the next week we'll have a go at a collaborative poem.
At each edition of the Pinewood Poetry Club we will share some poems, attempt some creative writing exercises, play word games, and talk about what poetry, words & language mean to us.
No obligation to share work. We are a welcoming group of people who love poems, and know the deep impact that these can have on our life. From improving wellbeing, to meeting new people in your local community, the Pinewood Poetry Club welcomes everyone. From retired folks, to bookworm students, we are an intergenerational, inclusive & fun group for the community.
The Pinewood Community Hall is an accessible venue. Located on the No.13 and No.15 bus routes, it also benefits from a large free car park. Please note, there are barriers at the entrance. You just need to drive slowly towards them and they will open, as the gates are motion activated.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits.
NO BOOKING REQUIRED. We'll be in the lounge bar area which can hold up to 20 people seated comfortably. If you would prefer to chat with Amy to ask questions, please do drop her an email and/or we can arrange a phonecall too. getonthesoapbox@hotmail.co.uk
