Artist : Gillian McCoy

I play a mix of originals and unusual covers accompanying myself on appalachian dulcimer, guitar and ukulele.

After I perform people always compliment me on my beautiful voice. Although I have been playing guitar for years I didn't start singing until a few years ago. I was not allowed to join the choir at school as my voice didn't fit in. After having a few lessons when I was 32 to see if I could sing I have never looked back!  I write songs and perform both solo and with my 4 piece  band WolfNote.  My songs are taken from life as I see it and have a late 60's West Coast feel to them as my voice has been likened to Joni Mitchell and I also play the dulcimer. My life is music, I teach voice and piano when I am not writing songs and performing with my band. I have recently won 2 awards, Semi Finalist in the UK Songwriting competition and best showcase artist in the Graham Steel music awards.
